Dry July – Booze Free Beverages That Aren’t Boring
5 July, 2019
We’re not sure if you’ve heard about dry July, but it’s something people do for charity every year to raise money for cancer. If you’re anything like us, you’re craving a little booze break. After Summer, Easter, your best friend’s wedding and basically every Tuesday night, a month off is well needed. Don’t despair though, we’ve found the hottest booze free bevy’s that look fun and no one will bat an eyelid or comment that you’re pregnant.
General Chao offer mocktails that are seriously to die for. At $15/$16 a pop, these look and taste like a real cocktail. You can choose between a Barely Cowboy with earthy undertones and hints of spice and grapefruit; or a Shrub and Garden with more of a garden vibe with spearmint, rosemary and thyme. Holy mocktail batman, that is one virgin cocktail that will tickle your senses and leave your friends guessing if you actually are completing a booze free month.
Lilong By Taste Of Shanghai have some seriously epic mocktails to wrap your tastebuds around. Try the mint, passionfruit and celery juice and tell me it doesn’t look like a mojito. A month off booze will help you feel healthier and with drinks with celery juice in them, you’ll be health plus! Move over caprioska, we’re ordering a mint lychee juice! Refreshing and the perfect drink to get your mind off booze.
If mocktails aren’t your jam, go with a simple kombucha. Extremely great for your gut with its good bacteria, everyone is choosing kombucha over soda this year! Horn of Plenty have kombucha on tap so if you’re used to slurping down a cold beer, this is the perfect replacement.
Going booze free doesn’t have to be boring. Who knows, you might get through the month of July, feel absolutely amazing and want to continue. Or you might find yourself at BWS on July 31st to purchase something to consume at midnight.
