They’re a little complex to make, and a juicy experience indeed. These soup-filled dumplings are created by wrapping solid meat aspic inside the skin, along with the yummy meat filling. Heat from steaming these gorgeous soupy sensations then melts the gelatine-gelled aspic into delicious soup that’s oh so slurp worthy. This is a dumpling who is a bit complex and interesting upon first glance, but once the layers come apart, they’re juicy, gorgeous and people can’t get enough of them. Mostly D – Fried Spinach and Chive Dumplings (Jiaozi)
Jiaozi are a major dish that is eaten during the Chinese New Year and are super popular! These dumplings consist of vegetable (and or meat) fillings wrapped into a thinly rolled piece of dough which is then sealed by pressing the edges together. They’re then boiled, steamed or fried and can also be served in soups. Often served with black vinegar and sesame oil, these delicious dumplings are reliably comforting to all who consume them.
