This Gluten-free Brownie Recipe is your Fudgey Fantasy

These gluten-free brownies are undeniably rich, gooey and cause for celebration. What’s more, they’re achievable for anyone – whether you’ve baked extensively or not at all. For a twist, consider adding your choice of nuts, berries, or spices (chilli works a treat).

Ingredients
200 g melted butter
200 g dark chocolate
¼ cup maple syrup
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 eggs
1 cup almond meal
½ tsp baking powder
1 pinch sea salt
Method
- Preheat oven to 180°C. Lightly grease a square bake tin and line with baking paper.
- In a large, microwaveable bowl melt the butter and chocolate in bouts of 30 seconds. Stir well. Set aside to cool slightly.
- Whisk in the maple syrup, vanilla extract and the eggs, one at a time, until incorporated.
- In a bowl, combine the almond meal, baking powder and sea salt.
- Gently fold the dry ingredients into the chocolate mixture with a spatula until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared tin and spread into an even layer.
- Bake in preheated oven for 25-28 minutes or until just set.
- Remove from the oven and allow to cool. Cut into squares to serve.
