What the foam???

17 May, 2019

Ok, listen up. Foam cheese tea is trending! Yes you heard that right and while the thought of this combo can be a little intimidating, trust us when we say – this is a tea you have to try!

So you’re probably envisioning some kooky concoction conjured up in a cauldron or science lab, but as it turns out, it tastes way better than it sounds. You’ll be relieved to know that this isn’t chunks of tasty cheese chucked in your standard hot cuppa tea, because yes that would be gross.

Foam cheese tea is made up of a light, foamy layer of whipped cream cheese and milk, and is used as a topper to chilled green or black tea. Much like Boba (aka bubble tea), this tea is subtly sweet but has a slightly salty and savoury finish.

Still not convinced?

Well think about it like this, if you’ve ever had to whip up a quick something when entertaining guests you’ll know that the humble cheese platter will most likely always have some sort of fruit or quince paste to layer up those crackers with a mix of salty and sweet that makes for damn delicious bite.
Savoury & sweet are always a match made in heaven, and when it comes beverages, it’s really no different.

Whipped cream on top of a milkshake is no biggie right? Same goes for this combo, so suck it up (literally) and get sippin’!

Head on over KingTea Pastry and try one of their beautifully blended cheese foam teas.
